Friday April 10, 2026 Devotional- Life Is Still Worth Living
Scripture Focus: John 20:1, Acts 10:39–40, Luke 24:5–6
Early on that first day, Mary Magdalene walked toward a place of death while carrying the weight of grief. She expected an ending—but encountered a beginning. The stone was rolled away, not so Jesus could get out, but so she could see in. And what she saw changed everything.
How often do we walk through life expecting the worst? We carry the “spices” of disappointment, the tears of heartbreak, and the assumption that what’s broken is beyond repair. Yet the Resurrection reminds us that God is always working beyond what we can see.
Mary teaches us something powerful: you don’t need perfect faith—just a willingness to keep moving. Even in darkness, she showed up. And because she showed up, she became the first witness of the greatest news ever told.
The message of the empty tomb is clear:
Failure is real, but it is not final.
The grave is powerful, but it does not win.
Pain is present, but it does not last.
Peter, who once denied Jesus, stood boldly declaring, “They put Him to death… but God raised Him.” That “but God” changed everything. If Jesus had stayed in the grave, Peter would have stayed in shame—but resurrection rewrote his story.
And it can rewrite yours too.
Too many of us are alive—but not really living. We sit at graves God has already emptied. We bury our joy, silence our purpose, and convince ourselves that nothing will change. But the angels asked a question that still echoes today: “Why seek the living among the dead?”
If the tomb is empty, then hopeless living is no longer an option.
Life is worth living—not because it’s always easy, but because God has the final word. What feels like an ending may be the very place your calling begins. What looks like death may be the setup for new life.
So today, make a decision: Stop living like Friday still has control when Sunday has already come.Stop burying what God has raised.Stop believing that your story is over. Because the final word over your life is not defeat—it’s LIFE.
Prayer- Lord,Thank You for the reminder that the grave is not the end. When I feel surrounded by disappointment, fear, or failure, help me to remember that You are still working. Give me the strength to keep moving, even when I don’t understand. Teach me to release dead thinking, dead dreams, and dead expectations. Help me to embrace the new life You have already spoken over me. Remind me that because You live, I can live fully—with hope, purpose, and courage. Today, I declare that life is worth living, because You have the final word.In Jesus’ name, Amen.
