Devotional→ Mary Magdalene walked to the tomb while it was still dark. She couldn't see clearly, didn't know what she'd find, yet she kept moving. Life often feels this way - uncertain, unclear, overwhelming. We want to wait for perfect conditions, for all the answers, for the path to be illuminated before we take the next step. But faith doesn't work that way. 

To trust God’s heart when you can’t see His hand means believing in His character when you cannot trace His activity. It means anchoring yourself in what you know to be true about Him—His goodness, His faithfulness, His sovereignty—even when your current circumstances feel confusing or even contradictory. God doesn’t always explain Himself, but He always reveals Himself to those who keep walking with Him.

Mary’s journey to the tomb is a powerful picture of this kind of faith. She started moving while it was still dark. She didn’t wait for the sun to rise. She didn’t wait for clarity, confirmation, or comfort. She moved with questions in her heart and grief in her spirit. As far as she knew, she was walking toward a sealed grave, toward death, toward finality. Yet, it was in her movement—not her understanding—that she encountered the miracle. The stone was already rolled away, but she would have never witnessed it had she stayed still waiting for everything to make sense.

That’s the tension of faith: breakthrough is often revealed on the way, not in the waiting room of hesitation. So many of us delay obedience because we’re waiting for certainty, but God is waiting for movement. There are some doors that only open when you walk up to them. There are some revelations that only come after you take the step.

Your current uncertainty is not a sign that you’re outside of God’s will—it may very well be evidence that you’re right in the middle of it. God does some of His best work in the dark places, because darkness forces us to depend on Him in a way clarity never could. What feels like confusion to you is often the setup for divine revelation. What feels like not knowing is actually an invitation to deeper trust.

So don’t let what you can’t see stop you from doing what God has already said. Keep moving. Keep trusting. Keep showing up. Because just like Mary, you may discover that the very thing you were worried about has already been handled by God—and your next step is leading you straight into resurrection power.

Prayer→Lord, give me courage to move forward when I can’t see clearly. When the path ahead feels uncertain and my steps feel hesitant, remind me that You are already there, ordering my way. Help me to trust Your guidance even in the darkness, knowing that You are my light when everything around me feels dim. Quiet the fears that try to rise within me and replace them with a steady confidence in Your presence. Strengthen my faith to keep walking, even when I don’t have all the answers, and teach me to lean not on my own understanding but on Your unfailing wisdom. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind, and remind me that what I cannot see, You already hold. Amen.
