Tuesday April 7, 2026 Devotional→ The Stone Was Moved for You

Bible Verse→ Romans 8:28

Devotional→ When Mary reached the tomb, she discovered something remarkable - the stone was already rolled away. But here's the beautiful truth: Jesus didn't need that stone moved to escape. He had already conquered death and could have walked through walls if He wanted. The stone was moved so we could see in, so we could witness the empty tomb and understand that death had been defeated. Sometimes we focus so much on the obstacles in our path that we miss what God is trying to reveal. That closed door, that delayed answer, that difficult season - what if it's not about removing the barrier, but about showing you something greater on the other side? God often moves our 'stones' not to change our circumstances, but to change our perspective.

BECAUSE PERSPECTIVE SHAPES EXPERIENCE.

Two people can stand at the same empty tomb:

• One sees loss

• The other sees life

Same tomb- Different perspective.

That’s why God will sometimes leave you in the same job, the same season, even the same struggle—but shift how you see it:

• What felt like punishment becomes preparation

• What felt like delay becomes development

• What felt like denial becomes direction

God knows that if He changes your perspective, you’ll handle the same circumstance with a different spirit.  When your perspective changes, you realize the stone wasn’t holding God back—it was holding you back from seeing what God had already done.

Reflection Question

What 'stone' in your life might God be using to reveal His victory rather than create a barrier?

Quote→  The stone was not moved so that Jesus could get out, but the stone was moved so that we can see in.

Prayer→ Father, help me see beyond the obstacles to the victory You're revealing. Open my eyes to Your greater purpose, even when my circumstances try to convince me otherwise.

Give me spiritual vision when my natural sight is limited. When fear clouds my judgment and doubt fills my mind, remind me that what I see is not all there is. Shift my perspective so I can recognize Your hand at work, even in places that feel empty, delayed, or uncertain.

Lord, move every stone that blocks my understanding—every assumption, every fear, every lie I’ve believed. Help me not just look at what’s in front of me, but to look through it with faith. Teach me to trust that You are already working behind the scenes, preparing victory where I only see obstacles.Strengthen my heart to keep moving forward, even in the dark. Give me the courage to believe that what looks like an ending is actually the beginning of something greater. And when You reveal what You’ve already done, give me the humility to receive it, the faith to walk in it, and the boldness to testify about it.
