5G Vision Emphasis: Grace • Gather • Glow • Grow • Go
Scripture... 1 Corinthians 13:11
Devotional
Growth requires release. Paul reminds us that maturity is not accidental—it is intentional. There comes a time when what once fit us no longer forms us. What once protected us can begin to restrict us. What once worked can become a weight.
The disciples in John 21 returned to fishing because it was familiar. The nets, the boats, the water—they knew that world. But Jesus had already called them beyond it. Their empty nets were not punishment; they were positioning. God would not allow them to prosper in what He had already called them out of.
Familiar isn’t always faithful.
Sometimes we cling to old patterns because they feel safe:
Old coping mechanisms
Old leadership styles
Old ministry models
Old responses to stress
Old ways of thinking
But in this season, God may be calling you higher.
And this is where the 5G Vision becomes personal:
GRACE- allows you to outgrow your past without shame. You are not dishonoring where you’ve been by moving forward. God’s grace covers your yesterday and empowers your tomorrow.
GATHER- Growth often requires gathering the right voices.Who are you listening to in this season? Are you surrounded by people who reinforce comfort or people who call you into calling?
GLOW- When you release familiar limitations, your light shines brighter. You cannot glow in a place you’ve spiritually outgrown. Familiarity dims what obedience ignites.
GROW- Maturity means putting away patterns that no longer serve your purpose.Growth is uncomfortable because it stretches identity. But growth is proof that God trusts you with more.
GO- You cannot go forward while clinging to what God has closed.Movement requires trust. Obedience requires courage. And breakthrough requires surrender.
Sometimes God disrupts what is comfortable so He can develop what is calling.
Your empty nets may be Heaven’s invitation to evolve.
Reflection Question
What familiar pattern, leadership style, coping mechanism, or ministry habit might God be asking you to release so you can fully walk in His 5G purpose?
Faith Declaration- I will not settle for what is familiar if God is calling me forward. By His grace, I am growing. By His Spirit, I am glowing. By His direction, I am going.
Prayer- Father, thank You for loving me enough not to let me remain where I’ve outgrown. Give me courage to release familiar patterns that no longer align with Your purpose. Help me trust Your voice over my comfort. Teach me to walk in Grace, Gather wisely, Glow boldly, Grow intentionally, and Go wherever You send me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

what i got from this is... if i don't change, I'll be begging for change. trust, obedience, courage, and surrender to Gods will is the right direction for me. thank you, father, in Jesus' name Amen.
