Take a moment and think about all the things that have changed over the last decade. Perhaps your address has changed. Your career has changed. Your health may have changed. Relationships have grown, faded, or taken unexpected turns. The world itself seems to change by the hour. Technology evolves. Culture shifts. Opinions rise and fall. What was once considered normal is often replaced by something new.

Change is one of life's few guarantees. Yet amid all the uncertainty, there is one glorious truth that remains unchanged: the foundation beneath God's people has never moved.

The church has not survived because every generation had perfect leaders, perfect members, or perfect circumstances. It has endured wars, economic collapse, persecution, pandemics, division, and countless cultural revolutions. Through every season, the Church has continued because it was never built upon personalities, popularity, politics, or programs. It is built upon Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul declared:

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 3:11)

That is more than sound doctrine—it is the believer's assurance.

The same Christ who upholds His Church is the Christ who upholds your life. When your emotions fluctuate, your finances tighten, your family faces challenges, or your future seems uncertain, you are not standing on your own wisdom or strength. You are standing upon the Rock who has never failed.

Storms may shake the house, but they cannot destroy a life built upon Christ.

Perhaps today you feel as though everything around you is shifting. Maybe you are carrying burdens no one else can see. Maybe disappointment has weakened your confidence or uncertainty has clouded your vision.

Remember this: The foundation has not changed because Jesus has not changed.

His promises remain true... His grace remains sufficient.

His mercy remains new every morning... His love remains everlasting.

The same Savior who sustained believers centuries ago is sustaining you today.

You are still standing—not because life has been easy—but because God has been faithful.

What's Right with the Church?

In a world that often highlights everything that is wrong with the church, believers must also remember everything God continues to do that is right. The Church is still God's chosen instrument for revealing His glory to the world. It is still the place where broken people discover hope. It is still where sinners encounter grace. It is still where prayers are answered. It is still where lives are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Yes, churches have flaws because churches are filled with imperfect people. Yet God's perfect purpose continues to shine through imperfect vessels.

What's Right with the Church? 1- Faith Still Lives Here

Every Sunday, believers gather with confidence that God is still able. People walk into worship carrying heavy burdens and leave strengthened because faith has been renewed through God's Word. The Church continues to proclaim that Jesus still saves, heals, restores, forgives, and delivers. Faith remains the heartbeat of God's people.

What's Right with the Church? 2- Fellowship Still Matters

The Church was never designed to be a collection of isolated believers. It is a family.

When one member rejoices, everyone celebrates. When one member suffers, others provide encouragement, comfort, and prayer. God uses fellowship to remind us that we were never meant to carry life's burdens alone. Sometimes healing comes through a sermon. Sometimes it comes through a hug. Sometimes it comes through someone simply saying, "I've been praying for you." That is the beauty of biblical fellowship.

What's Right With the Church? 3- Community Still Changes Lives

The Church is more than a building where people gather on Sundays. It is a community where faith becomes visible. Children learn Scripture. Young adults discover purpose. Marriages find encouragement. Families receive support. The grieving find comfort.

The lonely find belonging. The hurting find hope. The Church remains one of God's greatest gifts to a broken world because it reflects His heart through His people.

Every act of kindness... Every shared meal... Every prayer circle... Every Bible study...

Every worship service... Every ministry of compassion... becomes another reminder that God still works through His Church. The Church is not perfect. But it is still powerful.

Not because of the people inside it— but because Jesus Christ remains its foundation.

• Empires have risen and fallen...

• Kings have come and gone.

• Governments have changed.

• Culture has shifted.

• Technology has advanced.

• But the Church continues because Christ continues.

And every believer who places their trust in Christ is standing on a foundation that cannot be shaken. As long as Christ remains the cornerstone, the Church has a future, and so do you.

Prayer

Father, thank You for giving us a foundation that cannot be shaken. When life changes, remind us that You never do. Thank You for Your Church—a place where faith is strengthened, fellowship encourages weary hearts, and community reflects Your love. Help us not only to benefit from the Church but to become faithful builders within it. May our lives point others to Jesus, the only true foundation. Keep us united in love, steadfast in faith, and committed to serving one another until the whole world knows that Christ is still building His Church. In Jesus' name, Amen.
