Friday July 31, 2026- After the Storm, Testify

Devotional
There is a moment after every storm when you realize something quietly remarkable: you are still here.
The thing that was supposed to break you did not.
The season that felt endless finally ended.
And now you are standing on the other side, a little worn, maybe a little wiser, but still standing. That moment is holy. Do not waste it.
Noah built his altar and worshiped, and God answered with a promise.
Before Noah celebrated his future, he acknowledged God's faithfulness.
That sequence matters.
Gratitude before planning.
Worship before strategy.
Testimony before testimony.
Your story is not just yours to keep.
Someone around you is still in the middle of their storm, wondering if they are going to make it and your survival is proof that they can. When you testify, not just with words but with your life, with your worship, with your willingness to keep going, you become evidence of God's faithfulness for someone who desperately needs to see it. After the sickness. After the loss. After the heartbreak. After the depression. Build your altar. Lift your voice. Tell somebody what God did. Because the same God who brought you through is still bringing others through, and your story might be the very thing that helps them hold on.
Bible Verse
'But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.' - Isaiah 53:5
Reflection Question
Who in your life right now needs to hear your story of God's faithfulness, and what is holding you back from sharing it with them?
Quote
After the storm, after the rain, after sickness, after pain, after depression, after bankruptcy, after my divorce, after grief, after betrayal, after it all- I'm gonna build me an altar. And on my altar I won't complain. I will testify.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your amazing grace and unfailing faithfulness in my life. Thank You for every mountain You have helped me climb, every valley You have walked me through, every tear You have collected, and every prayer You have answered. Even when I could not see Your hand, You never stopped working on my behalf. Today, I pause to give You the glory You deserve.
Lord, give me the courage to testify. Remove every fear, every hesitation, and every feeling of inadequacy that keeps me silent about what You have done for me. Help me to remember that my testimony is not about my perfection—it is about Your power. It is not about my strength—it is about Your sustaining grace. Let me never be ashamed to declare that You are a God who still saves, heals, restores, delivers, and provides.
Father, let my life be living evidence of Your faithfulness. May my words, my attitude, my decisions, and my character point others to You. Let those who encounter me see the fingerprints of Your mercy and the transforming work of Your Spirit. When people wonder how I made it through difficult seasons, let my answer always bring honor to Your name.
Use my story for Your glory. Turn every trial into a testimony, every setback into a witness, every scar into a reminder of Your healing power, and every victory into an opportunity to magnify Christ. Redeem every painful chapter of my life so that nothing I have endured is wasted, but everything becomes a tool in Your hands to bless someone else.
Lord, place me in the path of those who need encouragement. Give me discernment to know when to speak, wisdom to know what to say, and compassion to share my testimony with humility and love. Let my words breathe hope into the discouraged, faith into the doubtful, courage into the fearful, and perseverance into those who are ready to give up.
May my testimony remind others that if You did it before, You can do it again. Let someone who feels forgotten discover that You still remember. Let someone who feels broken discover that You still restore. Let someone who feels defeated discover that You are still able to make all things new.
Father, I surrender my story to You. Use every chapter, every lesson, every victory, and even every failure for the advancement of Your Kingdom. Let my life proclaim Your goodness louder than my words ever could. May everything I do point people to Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of my faith.
I declare that my testimony will strengthen the weak, encourage the weary, inspire the faithful, and glorify the name of Jesus. I will not hide what You have done. I will proclaim Your goodness from generation to generation because You have been faithful, and You are worthy of all praise.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
