January 12, 2026— GRACE INTERRUPTS YOUR PATH {5G Focus: GRACE}

Have you ever felt like you were charging full speed ahead in life, only to have everything come to a sudden halt? Maybe it was a job loss, a health scare, or a relationship that ended unexpectedly. In those moments, it's easy to feel frustrated or even angry at God. But what if these interruptions aren't punishments—what if they're rescues?

Saul was a man on a mission, but it was the wrong mission. He was passionate, educated, and zealous, yet completely headed in the wrong direction. He was persecuting the very people God loved. Then came the divine interruption—a blinding light from heaven that knocked him to the ground. This wasn't God being cruel; this was God being loving.

Sometimes the most loving thing someone can do is stop you before you hurt yourself or others. A parent grabs a toddler before they run into traffic. A friend takes your keys when you've had too much to drink. God does the same thing spiritually. He interrupts our destructive patterns not to embarrass us, but to save us. Maybe you're in the middle of an interruption right now. Perhaps God is putting the brakes on something in your life that seemed to be going well. Before you resist or resent it, consider this: what looks like a roadblock might actually be a rescue. God sees the destruction ahead that you can't see, and He loves you too much to let you continue down that path. Your interruption might be the beginning of your transformation.

Saul was not searching for Jesus — he was running from Him.He wasn’t confused… he was convinced.Convinced he was right.Convinced he was holy.Convinced he was doing God a favor. But while Saul was chasing believers, grace was chasing Saul.

Grace will stop you mid-stride, knock you off your high horse, and save you from a version of yourself that was about to self-destruct.

• How might your current situation be protecting you from something worse that you cannot yet see?(Consider what God may be saving you from, not just what He seems to be stopping.)

• If God is redirecting you rather than rejecting you, what new direction might He be inviting you to explore?(What would it look like to trust His rerouting instead of clinging to your original plan?)

Prayer - Lord, help me to trust Your interruptions in my life. When You stop me mid-stride, give me the wisdom to see Your love behind the limitation. Help me surrender my plans to Your perfect will, knowing that You see what I cannot see. Father, when disappointment, delay, or loss shakes my faith, remind me that You are still directing my steps. Calm my anxious heart and replace my frustration with faith. Give me the courage to let go of what I was holding onto so I can receive what You are preparing for me. Even when the road changes suddenly, help me trust that Your hand is still guiding me toward purpose, healing, and new life in You, in Jesus' name, Amen.
