Sit Down and Remember We Belong Together

Devotional

The miracle in John 6 was not simply about feeding individuals; it was about bringing a multitude together around the provision of Jesus.

There is something powerful about gathering. We were never designed to live our Christian lives in isolation. God places us in relationships, families, churches, and communities because we need one another.

The Lord's Table reminds us that although we come from different backgrounds, have different personalities, and carry different experiences, we share one Savior and belong to one body.

Unity does not mean that we will always agree. It means that our commitment to Christ must be greater than our disagreements. We must learn to extend the same grace to others that God continually extends to us.

As SHI-ROCK Village, our strength is not simply in having two churches worshiping together. Our strength is in becoming one congregation with one mission.

We gather to worship, fellowship, encourage, strengthen, and build relationships that reflect the love of Christ.

Reach out to someone you have not spoken with recently. Encourage a fellow member. Take one intentional step toward strengthening a relationship.

Declaration

I am not alone. I belong to Christ, and I belong to the body of Christ. I will protect unity, extend grace, and help build a stronger community.

Morning Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of Christian community. Help us to see beyond our differences and recognize what unites us in Christ. Heal divisions, restore relationships, and teach us to love one another sincerely. Make SHI-ROCK Village a place where people feel welcomed, valued, connected, and loved. In Jesus' name, Amen.
